Honor Your Pace
Being a creative entrepreneur can feel like an emotional roller coaster at times! One minute you're on a crazy natural high, just pumping out art or designs left and right. Suddenly, you are in a creative depression and nothing flows at all. It can feel like you're in a race to an invisible finish line or as if you're just going in an endless circle.
I am guilty of comparing my business and the pace at which it is growing to others. Rarely feeling as if it's enough but in the words of Theodore Roosevelt, "comparison is the Theif of joy." Today I am remembering to honor my own pace and take comfort in how far I've come.
Sometimes, I just want to lay out in the sun and not think about all the things that need to be done or that I want to accomplish. And on many occasions, I do just that. Unapologetically.
It takes so much courage to pursue a dream/goal and that alone is worthy of praise.
